“Half memoir, half travel, A Yank Back to England...is an absolutely wonderful book, not only about going home again but also about love and family and tradition and the passage of the years.”

"You did what to Tony?"

Here's another bit I read from A Yank Back to England. We dined on this story for a long time; a little bit obvious but it still makes us laugh. And yes, that's just what Mum said...

This is hilarious!!! I laughed until I had tears in my eyes. Denis - I love it when you do all the accents. I seriously think you should bring ths out on audiobook too (or have you done so already?)

Michelloui--the music is Jerusalem which, oddly enough, is as close as we get to a national song. One of my favourites.
Villager & Sharon--yes, a bunch of characters! This is one of our fave bits (though probably not Tony's for some strange reason!)
Mandy--glad you laughed so hard (and thanks for subscribing!). Regarding the audio book, that's very flattering, but if we don't sell enough books there won't be an audio version. So please, do your part, spread the word!

Well, depending on when my copy arrives, I hope to have a review up in the new year.

What a great reading. I love the way you do the different voices. That makes me wonder how the family feels about the book and videos.
