Calling all directors and helpful friends...

Okay, everyone, I've been asked to supply a photo for a large poster that will be displayed in a bookstore (!). So we took a bunch of photos and narrowed it down to these four.
What do you think? Should I go friendly like the top ones (with/without glasses), or more author-y like the lower ones (with / without glasses.
We all have a different favorite, so please help! What do you think? We'd appreciate some input... or should we scrap these and start again?

  1. Mmm, I like the top right one best.

  2. I would have to agree with Daffycat, although I do like the "thinker" shot (second from bottom). You look all clever and "Englishy". ;-)

  4. Definitely one of the top two, my first instinct was to say #1, but the more I looked at the whole composition, I think #2 is my favorite. Looks most natural and relaxed.

  5. I like the bottom one because it "looks" to me, like what your blog says to me :) You are amused and yet, you are saying, uh-huh, been there, dear, done that, but whatever you like dearest"!

  6. A difficult choice. The Thinker pose might be the most appropriate but who am I too say!

  7. I like the top right one because it is has the biggest smile.

  8. I like the bottom one because it has a bit of a smirk about it, a knowing detachment, just like the book.

  11. Top Right! It looks like an intelligent guy with a sense of humour and thus an author whose work I would like to read. ;)

  13. #2 definitely seems to be the big winner--fascinating comments, thank you everyone for taking the time. And for the great compliments!
Mrs. Bee--you made us laugh, thank you! Funny enough, that was Prodigal Wife's favorite, she must have wanted more of the "whatever you like dearest"!
    Melissa--that was quick! Hurray!

  15. Sorry I'm late - smiling without glasses, which I think is top right. You have a winner!
